YPSat

Scanway Camera System for Ariane 6 inaugural launch

Mission details

About YPSat Mission

YPSat mission onboard Ariane 6 featuring a dual-camera system by Scanway.

Inaugural flight of Ariane 6, launched from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana, includes the YPSat Mission — a project developed entirely by ESA’s Young Professionals.

The mission aims to visually document key stages of the launch, including fairing separation and payload deployment, reaffirming Europe’s autonomous access to space.

SCS MultiCam Rocket-2-Cam

Scanway Camera System

Camera system for the YPSat platform delivered by Scanway. The system consists of two wide-angle cameras with dedicated electronics and mechanical interfaces, capable of capturing high-resolution photos (12.3 MP) and videos (up to 1080p @ 30 fps; 720p @ 60 fps). The payload is designed to document the separation of the Ariane 6 fairing and deployment of onboard payloads.
