Scanway will supply three Earth-observation telescopes for EnduroSat

Author: Scanway

Publication date:

Scanway—a Polish leader in optical technologies for Earth observation from space—has received an order from EnduroSat EAD to supply three Earth-observation telescopes. The contract is worth approximately 0.9 million EUR, and its execution will continue through the end of the first quarter of 2027. The order supports Scanway’s development as a serial supplier of optical instruments for the global New Space sector, in line with its Strategy for 2026–2028.

  • The telescopes supplied by Scanway will be based on components developed as part of other, technologically similar projects undertaken by the Company, with the capability to integrate with EnduroSat’s latest satellite platform, FRAME-15
  • The contract calls for the shortest delivery time for telescopes to date—less than 12 months—which is a result of the Company’s ongoing efforts to implement processes geared toward mass production
  • Our new partner, EnduroSat, is one of the leaders in the European small- and medium-sized satellite sector; it has launched more than 70 of its own satellites and 3,500 individual space modules into space, and operates in global constellation projects.

– We view the constellation project being carried out for EnduroSat not only as a significant contract that increases Scanway’s backlog, but also as an opportunity to expand our cooperation in subsequent stages of our partner’s satellite program development. Equally important to us is the short turnaround time for this order—that is, delivering flight-ready telescope models within 12 months of the project’s start. This confirms that our investments in our team, infrastructure, and operational processes are yielding tangible results and consistently bringing us closer to realizing our Strategy, which involves transitioning from the role of a supplier of individual optical instruments to that of a serial supplier of optical solutions for the global New Space sector— comments Mikołaj Podgórski, COO of Scanway S.A.

The telescopes supplied by Scanway will be based on solutions developed as part of the Company’s previous, technologically similar projects. Securing this order from EnduroSat, worth 0.9 mln EUR, confirms Scanway’s high level of expertise and represents an important step in developing cooperation with one of Europe’s leading players in the small- and medium-sized satellite segment, which is involved in global constellation projects.

EnduroSat is one of Europe’s largest suppliers of small and medium-sized satellites, having launched more than 70 of its own satellites and 3,500 individual space modules into space. The company is headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria, and has additional offices around the world, including in Denver, Colorado. It employs over 400 people, and in 2025, it raised over $150 million in funding through several investment rounds, including from Google Ventures.

This new order confirms that Scanway is now a partner capable of efficiently meeting the needs of demanding players in the European satellite market. We are consistently building the Company’s position as one that not only develops advanced optical technologies but is also capable of effectively commercializing them within the international New Space ecosystem, including in constellation projects with increasingly shorter delivery times expected by customers. In our assessment, contracts of this type will increasingly support the scale of Scanway’s operations in the coming years and strengthen our presence in the segment of mass-produced optical instruments for Earth observation from space. says Mikołaj Podgórski.

Scanway S.A. has been actively supporting the development of the space economy for years and is currently Poland’s leading exporter of space technologies. The company carries out constellation projects for global clients worth several million euros, including, among others, Nara Space from South Korea, Marble Imaging from Germany, and a client from Asia (all ongoing projects have the potential for future expansion). The company also possesses expertise in designing optical instruments for deep-space missions, including those to the Moon. It will be the first Polish company to supply optical instruments for a commercial lunar mission planned for the second half of 2026. Furthermore, it will develop a European system for processing satellite data from the Moon and may link Europe with the U.S. Artemis lunar program, the largest and most advanced in the world.

Scanway S.A.’s strategic, long-term goal is to become one of the world’s leading commercial optical payload integrators. The key objective by the end of 2028 is to become one of the largest optical payload integrators
in Europe.

About Scanway:

Scanway S.A. is a Polish company that has been in business for 10 years. It specializes in the optical data chain, which includes data acquisition, processing, analytics, and event prediction based on that data. In the Space segment, it provides both hardware solutions (optical instruments, such as telescopes and cameras) and imaging analytics. In the Industry segment, it offers solutions (products) based on image data processing, including complete quality control systems. The Company’s expertise and experience in both fields are complementary and create synergies. Scanway strives to provide its customers with full access to key optical data in both segments.

As one of a dozen or so companies worldwide, Scanway has developed a complete line of optoelectronic products for Earth observation from orbit. The company carries out key contracts for space equipment in Poland and around the world, including for commercial clients. It operates STAR VIBE, Poland’s longest-operating optical observation satellite. The company’s solutions have been incorporated into the most important European and Polish space missions of 2024: among other achievements, the company deployed its equipment (Scanway Camera System) on the maiden flight of Europe’s newest launch vehicle, Ariane 6, and supplied Poland’s largest-ever telescope, weighing approximately 10 kg (SOP200), to EagleEye.

The company has completed nearly 50 quality control implementations in the industrial sector. As a technology partner to the sector’s largest manufacturers, it develops proprietary software solutions using AI and advanced applications for Industry 4.0.

In October 2023, the Company made its debut on the NewConnect market. On March 27, 2026, the Company made its debut on the Main Market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. For more information: https://scanway.pl/
