Components of a video system – what goes into it?

The processor uses algorithms, a set of instructions that tell it how to interpret the image. This could be shape recognition, color analysis or dimensional measurement.
Don’t forget the user interface, which allows you to configure the system and view the results. It is through it that the operator can monitor system performance and make changes to settings.
Examples of applications of vision systems
Vision systems are used in almost every area of life. In industry, they are used for quality control and the elimination of defective products. In medicine, they help with diagnostics, analyzing X-ray images or CT scans. On the streets, they monitor public spaces, identifying threats or recognizing license plates.
One of the most interesting examples is the use of vision systems in agriculture. Machines equipped with cameras can identify weeds, monitor the condition of crops or even select fruit during harvest. In stores, vision systems support self-service checkouts by comparing product images with a database.
Can vision systems replace humans?
Although vision systems are extremely advanced, they cannot completely replace human intuition and flexibility. Machines excel at routine tasks that require precision and repetition, but human supervision is still needed in unusual situations. However, it is worth noting that their presence significantly relieves the burden on humans, allowing them to focus on more demanding tasks.
