On August 9, 2024, Scanway S.A. signed a letter of intent with Flytronic S.A., a leading Polish
manufacturer of unmanned platforms and a member of the WB Group. The goal
of the collaboration is to develop specialized optoelectronic solutions. The agreement
also includes cooperation in the area of training and mutual education in this field. Following the PIAST space project carried out for
the Polish Ministry of National Defense and in cooperation with, among others, the Polish Academy of Technology, this
is another Scanway initiative aimed at increasing its presence in the promising
defense segment.

– Our collaboration with Flytronic, part of the WB Group, is particularly important because it opens up a new
market for our company in the defense sector. We believe that the letter of intent we signed with such an experienced
company in the defense sector will enable us to develop high-quality products. As Scanway
, from the very beginning of our operations, we have sought to create technologies that are useful, practical, and necessary,
and today, in these extraordinary times, it is essential to develop domestic capabilities and technologies
that enable us to gain an advantage in the arena of armed conflict. We want our cooperation
to translate into products that can strengthen our own and allied armed forces and increase
the competitiveness of the Polish defense sector on the international stage. We believe that our
experience in the industrial and space sectors—which is one of the most challenging
engineering-intensive technology sectors—will enable us to deliver top-tier solutions
that give us and our allies a significant advantage,” comments Jędrzej Kowalewski, CEO of
Scanway S.A
.

The letter of intent signed by Flytronic and Scanway lists several forms of cooperation in the field of
and the development of optoelectronic systems. These include, among other things, the implementation of joint research and development projects
, data exchange, the organization of large-scale testing campaigns
and joint workshops, as well as consulting on the development of solutions that meet the requirements
of the defense sector.

Flytronic S.A. is a leading Polish center that develops and manufactures unmanned aerial platforms
. The company’s research and development in the fields of electronics, computer science, and
aeronautical engineering is characterized by world-class innovation. It is a dynamic and modern
engineering firm, bringing together top-tier specialists. The company conducts extensive
research and development activities and maintains a leading position on the Polish and global markets. Flytronic S.A. focuses
its operations on ensuring product quality, as confirmed by its ISO/AQAP certifications, and its dynamic
growth has been recognized with the Gliwice Lion Award.

Flytronic S.A.’s flagship product is FLYEYE—a mini-class unmanned aerial system (UAS),
, used, among other things, for imagery reconnaissance missions and to support the operations of uniformed services.
The strategic goal in developing this product is to incorporate proprietary solutions at
to the greatest extent possible. A defining feature of the mini-class UAV is its low weight, coupled with ever-increasing
expectations regarding the platform’s capabilities.

– Flytronic S.A. is part of the WB Group, Poland’s largest privately owned manufacturer
operating in the defense industry. The WB Group is constantly growing and plans to expand its product portfolio
to include unmanned systems of increasing complexity. “I hope that our collaboration with Scanway will create synergies and contribute to the development of technologies related to unmanned platforms,” says Dawid Bielecki, Member of the Management Board of Flytronic S.A.

The WB Group is one of Poland’s largest high-tech conglomerates, specializing
in the design and manufacture of solutions for the defense and civilian sectors. The group consists of
companies offering comprehensive solutions in the fields of communications systems, unmanned
air, land, and sea systems, as well as modern combat management systems.
Thanks to its advanced research and development infrastructure, the WB GROUP brings innovative products to market
that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Scanway develops and commercializes two business lines: products for the space sector (
nd optical instruments for Earth observation and satellite self-diagnostics) and for industry (vision systems). Thanks to
the STAR VIBE mission and the launch in early 2023 of a satellite equipped with a vision system, as well as
an optical telescope developed and manufactured in the company’s laboratories, Scanway has established a “flight-
” heritage—confirming the reliability and functionality of its solutions in space environments.
The company is expanding its cooperation with, among others, the European Space Agency and private companies,
that are developing satellite constellations for Earth observation. Scanway also supplies telescopes and cameras
to the PIAST constellation, which is being developed on behalf of the Ministry of National Defense.

About Scanway:
Scanway is a Polish company operating in the field of observation technology and machine vision. The company develops and commercializes two business lines: products for the space sector (optical instruments for Earth observation and satellite self-diagnostics) and for the manufacturing industry (machine vision systems).

Scanway is the only company in Poland—and one of only a dozen or so companies worldwide—to have developed a comprehensive technology for Earth observation and the self-diagnostics of satellites and spacecraft. The company offers complete systems based on its own proprietary algorithms for image processing and analysis. As part of the STAR VIBE mission in 2023, a satellite was launched carrying a imaging system and an optical telescope developed and manufactured in the company’s laboratories; thereby establishing flight heritage and delivering the best images from space ever obtained by Polish satellite instruments. The company is also a key consortium member in Poland’s largest space projects, including EagleEye and PIAST.

The Company also aims to apply space-based solutions in the manufacturing industry. Scanway provides technological solutions tailored to the needs of medium and large manufacturing plants, primarily in the area of quality control. In October 2023, Scanway made its debut on the NewConnect market. For more information:
