SCS
Scanway Camera System
Scanway Camera System is a series of vision systems designed mainly for supporting various missions and decision-making by delivering quality imaging data.
Products of the SCS line can support such space activities as spacecraft monitoring, in-space operations and servicing, docking missions, and more.
SCS space camera series products vary from simple camera systems able to record the video of the process flow to advanced machine vision solutions consisting of cameras, storage, and data processing units able to acquire, process, and analyze image data.

Missions with SCS
Different missions require different cameras. We support missions with two types of cameras.
Our other Products
Different missions require different imaging capabilities. We offer two distinct space camera systems – each designed to meet the specific needs of satellite-based space observation and in-orbit operations.

Optical
Payload
The Scanway Optical Payload is a camera series designed for Earth Observation and other remote sensing applications, compatible with both micro- and nanosatellites.
The SOP offers flexible configuration options, supporting detectors across various spectral bands, including visible (VIS), near-infrared (NIR), shortwave infrared (SWIR), and multispectral imaging. Additionally,
it accommodates different imaging resolutions (GSD), making it adaptable to diverse mission requirements.
FAQ
All you’ve been worrying to ask about space cameras
SCS is designed to support a range of in-space applications, including the visual monitoring of deployment events such as solar arrays, antennas, booms, and sails. It can also be used for observing docking and rendezvous maneuvers, assessing the condition of thermal insulation layers, and visually documenting key spacecraft operations. In addition, the system is considered for future Space Situational Awareness (SSA/SDA) use cases, such as proximity tracking, post-event orbit verification, and anomaly detection. While not all of these functions have been demonstrated in orbit yet, they are part of the system’s intended technical scope.
