Strategy

Scanway S.A.’s strategy for 2026-2028 is based on the growing trend in the smallsat sector (10-500 kg), progressive automation in the industry and the European drive for technological independence. It also serves as a reference point for further development of the organization, including investment decisions and cooperation with the Company’s stakeholders.

The strategic goal for Scanway S.A. is to become one of the largest integrators (prime contractors) of optical cargoes in Europe by the end of 2028. At the same time, the strategy goal formulated in this way paves the way for the Company’s long-term goal of becoming one of the largest commercial integrators of optical cargoes in the world.

Operational objectives for 2026-2028:

• Significant scaling of operations and technology activities in the areas: Space & Defense and Industry
• Presence of the Company’s products in constellations of global leaders
• Production of a dozen optical cargoes per year in the price range: EUR 0.5-2.0 million per unit
• Presence in the product portfolio of a complete optical data processing chain: acquisition, processing, analysis, prediction (APAP).

In the period 2026-2028, Scanway S.A. will focus on strengthening its position as an integrated European supplier of optical technologies for the space and industrial sectors, developing the full optical data value chain (APAP) and four key technology directions.

Technological Directions for 2026-2028:

• Optical instruments with very high resolution
• Data processing products
• Cameras for defense market and in-space servicing area
• Development of own supply chain links

At the same time, the Company will continue its existing business directions. These are the key fields of activity in which it pursues its business and technological goals.

Business Directions for 2026-2028:

• Constellations and larger instruments
• Defense sector
• Deep Space and the Exploration of the Moon
• Large public programs
• Image analysis industrial sector

In the next three years, Scanway will focus on:

• Development of ultra-high-resolution imaging products, including for challenging Deep Space and lunar exploration applications
• Build its own data processing products and strengthen its supply chain and manufacturing independence
• Cameras for Space & Defence segments (including unmanned systems)
• Participation in pioneering, exploratory missions to far space, including the Moon
• Building custom AI/ML algorithms for defect recognition, object classification and analysis of changes taking place

Scanway S.A.’s Management Board is confident that consistent implementation of its priorities for 2026-2028 will lay a solid foundation for achieving the Company’s strategic aspiration – to join the ranks of the world’s leading commercial optical cargo integrators.
